CHUBUT RIVER - VALLEY

This tour starts early in the morning and visits Playa Union, where you can take a zodiac to go on a dolphins watching (optional excursion) which depends on the weather conditions. The trip lasts about 1 hour and a half.

From this port, we keep on going to Trelew where you have the possibility of visiting the MEF, a paleontological museum and research center. A tour guide will explain the history of the Patagonian paleontology, from the first humans inhabiting this region, to the past with the primitive microorganisms. People are absolutely attracted by the Mesozoic display, with the dinosaurs and the 2000 fossilized pieces, exhibited at this exposition. At the cinema, you can enjoy watching a video concerning the beginning of the Universe and another documental registered by Attenborough explaining the last and most important  discovery in Paleontology. As a part of the display, there is an original bone of the largest dinosaur in the world.

After this visit, we go 15 km. to the west, arriving to the welsh village of Gaiman, the first city of the province of Chubut.

After a city tour, watching the characteristic architecture, the river and its wheel mills, we visit a tea house.

The afternoon tea, is part of the welsh tradition, part of the local culture and also a tourist attraction. The different tea houses, always prepare the famous welsh cake, or black cake as well as the creamy pie, apple pie, salty butter, different kinds of jams and scons trying on a delicious cup of tea. Tea service payment is not included.
